Larry has a lifetime of experience in and around the real estate industry, before finally making the big leap in 2017.
His long path toward the industry began while growing up on a farm in Virginia and building sheds and farms with family. As Larry matured into a young adult, he took more of a professional interest in building trades, taking a vocational class in high school. The program was funded by the sales of the houses the students literally built from the ground up.
He gained his K-61 Carpentry, Remodeling and Repair Contractor certification and spent much of his early career building upon and refining this knowledge, first as an independent residential home inspector, and subsequently as a commercial inspector, then supervisor, for the City of Mesa. Through almost an entire decade in the early to late-aughts, his thorough and specialized knowledge of building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, fire, and zoning codes made him a dependable presence among clients.
When he eventually did transition to the real estate business, this work experience placed him in and around the business for much of his life, from construction, home inspections, multifamily and residential maintenance, property procurement and management. He specializes in real estate investments and vacation rentals. His extensive knowledge regarding building codes and inspections helps his clients in the market to both buy and sell homes as well.
When he’s not on the clock, the hobbies that allow him to recalibrate include woodworking, hiking, writing and recording music.
Larry brings an advocate’s perspective to real estate, never enticing clients to do more than their own needs or desires. He finds excitement in not only reaching their own goals, but discovering what his clients really wants, not just what they’ve specified. His passion for helping others and working with integrity makes for winning partnerships — a perfect complement to the azarchitecture/Jarson & Jarson Real Estate office!
