February 13-23, 2020 at WestWorld, Scottsdale
Since 1955 the Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show has been one of the most prominent shows in the Arabian horse world. The first show was held at the grounds of the Arizona Biltmore Hotel. After the show’s beginnings at the Biltmore, Ann McCormick bought 150 acres in Scottsdale and made it into the horse facility known as Paradise Park which served the needs of the show for many years.
Over the years, the show has grown from around 500 horses to nearly 2400 horses with their owners, trainers and breeders. Now, they all descend on WestWorld in Scottsdale every February in order to compete at a chance to win in their respective categories. A win at the Scottsdale Show can mean big money in the breeding barns. There are dressage events, western events, hunter jumper events and many more!
In addition to the ongoing equestrian events, there is an expo that fills the interior of WestWorld with clothing, crafts, equestrian supplies, and more. Food trucks are available on site as well. This event is fun for the whole family and money raised goes to support a number of wonderful charities such as: the Arabian Horsemans Distress Fund, the ASU Western Equestrian Team, SCC Equine Sciences Scholarships and the March of Dimes.
